I am now 16 ! My birthday was on friday (July 8th) and i went to London for the day with my mum and dad. We had a lovely day in London despite the typical British weather! Our first stop was the beautiful Louis Vuitton store on New Bond Street to collect my birthday gift!! I chose the Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM bag which was of course for my birthday, but also for doing well at school in my exams this year. It is my first ever designer bag and i am in love with it! I cant wait to fill it with all of my things!

The Neverfull is a great bag for those of us who like to carry a lot of things around each day. I initially thought about using it as my college bag but i think i will be too anxious to take it to college, in case it gets ruined. I love the casual vibe of the bag and the chuck-and-go convenience. I think its a great everyday tote for shopping, travel and school.
That day, the hot-stamping service was available in-store, so i decided to take the opportunity and have my initials printed onto my bag! They are located on one of the front straps and i think that it makes a popular, 'it-bag' a lot more unique and personalised.
After my LV experience we stopped at Wiltons for lunch. Wiltons is a lovely restaurant, serving traditional English dishes and was in fact a favourite of Winston Churchill. The service was impeccable and the food exquisite. If you have been to the Ivy in London, you will love Wiltons. They both offer fine English dining and a traditional, cosy environment. Wiltons was established in 1742, beginning as an iconic oyster shack in London. It is now a beautiful restaurant defined by its reputable sea food dishes with a fine history of regular politicians and royalty- if walls could speak! My parents had informed Wiltons of the special occasion and at the end of the meal, they had prepared a tray of beautiful chocolates with a birthday message which was very thoughtful and a friendly touch!

Of course i couldn't take any pictures inside the restaurant but i have retrieved some from Wiltons website which will give you an idea of the cosy, traditionally English surroundings. We were seated at the 'John Major' booth.

My little brother Charlie ( I say little but he is actually ten!) gave me a hand-decorated 'dream jar' which is a really sweet money-saving concept. On the first occasion that you put in a coin, you make a wish! If you use £2.00 coins when saving, the jar can hold up to £1000! They are designed so that you can only retrieve your savings when you smash it open! Mine is of course sweet-sixteen themed! I also received a cute little sweet-sixteen teddy!

I had some gorgeous birthday cards! Mum had ordered some online from pinkandposh.co.uk which offer girly, personalised cards- i love them!

My friends and family gave me some US Dollars and Barbadian Dollars which i will be using on my summer holiday in August! I also received a 5-piece set of Nails Inc nail polishes which is full of bright summery colours!
I had a great birthday and am now sad that it is over- i just get so excited!
I hope you are all well!
Love, Claudia xo
