NOTD: Essie 'Recessionista'

Burgundy has definitely been my favourite colour this season, so i was really excited to see two beautiful nail colours in my Christmas stocking this year. I tried out Essie's 'Recessionista' today, and absolutely loved it! I believe it's part of their winter collection, Stylenomics, which includes six new colours. 

Recessonista is a dark, burgundy red with a cream finish. The dark colour is perfect for autumn and winter, particularly as it's this seasons 'it' colour. Although it's a lot brighter than your classic black nail colours (e.g OPI's Lincoln Park After Dark), it still looks very vampy and chic on the nails- and perhaps more flattering. As always, the formula is great- opaque within two coats, very long-lasting and incredibly glossy. 

It really is the perfect shade for this season, and it matches my favourite accessories very well- especially my Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac! I definitely recommend checking out the new Stylenomics collection, as all of the shades are gorgeous.
